Lynne Hammond travels internationally as a teacher and author on the subject of prayer. She regularly writes articles in Winner’s Way magazine and publishes a newsletter called Prayer Notes for people of prayer. Her books include Devotions for the Praying Heart, Whispers From the Secret Place, Heaven’s Power for the Harvest, Staying Faith, When It’s Time for a Miracle, Living in the Presence of God, Dare to Be Free, and The Master Is Calling workbook. In addition, Lynne’s other books, The Master Is Calling, Renewed in His Presence, Secrets to Powerful Prayer, and When Healing Doesn’t Come Easily, have been translated into several different languages.
Lynne and her husband, Mac, pastor Living Word Christian Center, a large and growing church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The desire of Lynne’s heart is to impart principles of corporate and Spirit-led prayer to the Church throughout the world. Under her leadership, the prayer ministry at Living Word has become an internationally recognized model for developing effective pray-ers in the local church.
Each week at Living Word, 90 prayer groups led by 77 prayer leaders assemble for the purpose of following the direction of the Holy Spirit in prayer. Last year, more than 21,000 people participated in 2,100 prayer meetings. Approximately 250 Global Prayer Alert Network blog posts were made to inform people of what Living Word is praying about during chapel prayer meetings. Lynne is also the national prayer director for Daughters For Zion, a women’s prayer organization under the umbrella of Christians United For Israel.
